welcoming

i worked last night again
am tired, and ready for bed

i pulled in my driveway this morning
sat there, listening to the rest of the song
and watched kc jump on the window sill
and then, when i got out of the car
he jumped off the window sill,
and headed over to the door
i could hear him meowing before i ever put the key in the slot

so nice to have a welcoming committee:)
