fireworks and the fair

was on standby with lwd for the fireworks this evening
have never been that close to fireworks
we were directly underneath some of them
it was exhilarating to say the least

btw the noise, and the colors, and the patterns, i was quite impressed
it felt as if i could reach out and touch them

and so ends, the rothrock community fair, for another yr
ya know, when i first started in ems, that first yr, i went to the fair by myself
was all thrills, that all these ems folks stopped to say hi, and to talk to me
the fair was a big deal, when i was 18
and now, if it wouldnt have been for the fact that i was on standby,
i wouldnt even have gone this yr
not sure if i have grown up, or if i have grown jaded and cynical

i did get my hot sausage sandwich, and fries
and sat with the amb crew, to eat it.
