i broke kc's laser pointer today
i had clipped it to my key ring, because i was going to take him along to the station
but he wasnt interested in going to the station
his tail went up and the tip went back and forth furiously
and then he headed to the deck door and sat down and looked out
wouldnt even think of looking at me
so i left him at home

stopped at klines, then to the post office
and when i got to the station, i had the back of the pointer
but the pointer itself and the batteries had screwed off the back
