empathy

i pulled up on scene this morning, to see 2 old ladies hunched over an old man, who was lying outside in the gravel, beside a car. both of them were crying. it had been dispatched as cardiac arrest.
it was just so sad
dunno why that hit me so hard, this time, it doesnt normally bother me anymore
