we had cousin's night tonight
only it wasnt quite "cousins only" this time

my one cousin and her family is going to kenya for 2 yrs
they have 9 kids, ranging from less than one month, to age 16
they have a farm, and someone is going to be farming it while they are gone
so, they are busy getting stuff ready to leave

we single cousins and 2 of my single aunts have been having cousin's game night periodically
and we decided that this yr we are going to do things for others, instead of doing things for ourselves
and for the first one, we asked lois if she had anything available for us to do
and yes, she did

so, the cousins and the aunts were there
and we told her parents they could come too, and my parents
and her aunt on the other side was there too
we mulched and mulched
and we got an awful lot done in an hr and a half
i am quite pleased with what we got done

then the little girls were pitching balls
and batting them
and i got talked into batting as well
that poor elbow of mine got a workout
it didnt like me throwing the ball, at all
and i decided it was harder work batting balls, than it was mulching

and after it got dark, we had cake and ice cream
and munchies
supplied by the cousins
the only thing lois had to supply was the knife to cut the cake, and ice cream spoons

it was a good evening
a very good evening
lois told me one of her girls said, oh good, jm is coming, i like jm
wow
i didnt realize that!

and then, as we were sitting there, eating ice cream
i remembered
i had left my front door open, when i was getting flowers for hte cake
and i was pretty sure that i had forgotten to shut it
so, when j brought me home, he waited until i checked hte rooms
and there is no boogy man in my house
