I am sorry you feel this way. Must have hurt a lot.
Like anything you care for, whether a love for a pet, a person, a principle. Else we will be so very alone and predictable.
Loosing it always hurts... friendship is no exception either.
For the most part, all those years would have brought countless happiness than sorrow, but some things may come to an end in the not-so-pleasant way unfortunately.
Nobody is immune to this.
Hope all is well again.
