love
wish i knew what kc was saying when he talks to me
he has all these little meows
and they all say something different
and i dont know what he was saying
like tonight, he was on my washer
and must have had 7 different meows
short ones, long ones, looking at me and talking
and then, he hopped off the washer onto hte floor
and came over to my chair
and stuck his head under my hand
so i had to love him

Beautiful creature. What's not to love.
I believe there was a news broadcast on cat's vocabulary created by a Japanese group stored in a Palm-PC.
When the cat neowed to the microphone, the PC translates it to human language, Japanese for now.
Interestingly accurate translation about the ones that are already in the PC. More are being added, I think.
If scientists study sounds made by dolphins, sign-language for gorrillas, why not for cats.
For the Japanese/Cat vocabulary though, I am not sure if it will be "lost in translation"...
Seriously, there is a gadget that this Japanese group has created and are perfecting to understand more cat "language".
