boots

i finally broke down and bought a new pair of work boots today
i've had these for 5 yrs, and they have served me well
full time, OT, in mud to my knees (that was a fun call )
on ice, in water, blood dripped on them

but today, i blew out the side while on a call
couldnt figure out why my foot was cold, till i looked down
the boots were looking bedraggled anyways,
but i was just too cheap to go buy new boots
60.00 is a lot of money to spend on myself at one time

don't you think it was time to go get new boots?
