busy

i've had a busy day today
busy patting myself on the back, that is

started out this morning
stuck an iv in a guy, on a blind stick
with only half assurance that there was a vein there
but that was the best i could find
half is better than nothing, i guess
fully expected to come up empty handed
needless to say, i was feeling very good abt myself

better than the other day, when i felt as if i couldnt hit the broad side of a barn
i hate those days

that was the first pt of mine

the 2nd pt, i looked at his address

and i asked him, is that near angelos?
he looked at me, quite surprised
its directly across from angelos

twas funny.
i was making conversation with him because he wasnt in acute distress
i'm quite aware of where #### SR *** N is, and his numerics were abt 2000 numbers N
didnt think i was that good at estimating the numerics on a road, tho!

and pt # 3
horrible venous access, again
i was envisioning multiple sticks with nothing to show for
and once again, on a blind stick with no definitive proof of a vein in there
perfect IV skills
by that time i was quite thrilled with myself
:D

then i decided that i better stop gloating
cause pretty soon, i'll find myself on the bottom of the mountain, if i dont shut up

oh!!!
those iv sticks were in a moving ambulance
like miles always said, the bumps just bump the needle into place

ok, ok
